    BASE OF PYRAMID PROTOCOL

    Developed by Hart and Prof. C K Prahlad. It referred to people who earned less than $1500 per annum.(base of the pyramid) It was launched in the year 2004 with the financial support of SC Johnson , DuPoint ,HP. It aims at identifying and developing sustainable new products and business models in association with BOP communities for low income market.

    3- Phases of BOP
    Opening UP- two way dialogue to understand the environment and generate competitive ideas. Building the Ecosystem- generating a relationship among MNCs and local individuals to develop win-win strategy. Enterprise Creation- piloting a test , evaluating results and further launching business experiments.
