Fremont Mischief Spirits Company

FULL CIRCLE DISTILLERY- KEEPING IT LOCAL BY USING THE FINEST ORGANIC GRAINS AND BOTANICALS
John Jacob: Jon Bishops Great-Grandfather's original recipe brought back to life. Taste a bit of the Old World in this 100% rye grain whiskey. The natural spice of rye mellows with oak barrel aging--giving the spirit a buttery feel in the mouth and lending to it flavors subtle notes of vanilla. A warm caramel finish makes it perfect for sipping with ice or as the base to your favorite whiskey cocktail. Fremont Mischief Whiskey: Using the same recipe as our inhouse whiskey, this eight year rye wonder only gets better with age. All of the natural spice of rye is present but an eight year slumber in oak has taken all the fight out of this whiskey spirit. The warm amber body of this buttery sweet whiskey goes down easy and leaves the same pleasing caramel finish as our in house "John Jacob" whiskey. Fremont Mischief Vodka: Made with winter wheat and allowed to mellow for a few weeks. This soft, full-bodied vodka is unlike anything you've experienced. We wanted our vodka to retain the natural character and subtle flavors of soft winter wheat. Most vodka's have little or no flavor because they are destroyed by over-filtration and chill-stabilization. We took great care in filtering our vodkaensuring its flavors remained and particulates removed. Fremont Mischief Gin: We felt a good gin needs to leave the imbiber refreshed. Our gin uses hand-selected fresh and local botanicals. Its refreshing character lingers on the back of your palette dancing with sprite notes of euphoric and aphrodisiac botanicals. Perfect for sipping, cocktails and perhaps romance.

Fremont Mischief Spirits Co.

FULL CIRCLE DISTILLERY- KEEPING IT LOCAL BY USING THE FINEST ORGANIC GRAINS AND BOTANICALS

Origin & Place: Just outside of Seattle, Washington and from the prankster world and relationship of Erik Freeman and Mike Sherlock. Master Distiller Jon Bishop Full Circle Distillery: Keeping it Local by using the finest organic grains and botanicals Distillation & Relaxed Spirit: Stills handmade by Arnold Holstein Co. from Germany Environmental: Spent grains from Mischief are used for compost at the Krainick Dairy and also to feed happy cows The current trend in craft distillation is tough to wrap your head around with a myriad of new brands entering the market. Obviously we need to start making some distinctions and I appreciate the Fremont Mischief speaks about more than just being handcrafted in small batches. Before we talk about the liquid inside the bottle its nice to know where the name Mischief comes from. Mike Sherlock and his friend Erik Freeman had a lot of fun starting up this brand and played quite a few practical jokes on one another and created a ton of mischief in the process. To quote and use a statement made by their founder Mike Sherlock about how they look after the best interests of their customers. "We use organic and heirloom grains...even though they have less starch and are harder to use because yields are so low. We feel these grains make Mischief spirits more flavorful, and give them a softer finish. We could buy production grown, non-organic grains; they're less expensive, the yield is better. It certainly would be easier for us. But, by taking these extra measures and extra costs, we feel it makes a difference you will notice and appreciate. It's worth it to us because we want to make the very finest for all who choose our spirits. When you buy Fremont Mischief they have made a promise to keep it local, strive to gather the best organic ingredients from our community growers, and make the very best spirits they can for you. The spirits are rested for a couple weeks before going into bottle and they give spent grains back to the farms for composte and to use as feed for happy cows. As for the hearts you see scattered throughout this website... they are a symbol of our pledge to you. "Hearts" are the center cut--the very finest spirits produced during distillation. Hearts also symbolize the very best of the human spirit. Every bottle of Fremont Mischief constitutes both.

FEW Spirits
HAND-CRAFTED, SMALL BATCH SPIRITS FROM EVANSTON ILLINOIS

American Gin - 80 proof & Standard Issue - 114 proof $29.92 These arent just your regular Gins. FEW uses a mash bill similar to a white dog whiskey. Their philosophy is to focus on the quality of spirit as much as botanical composition. Also, their use of vanilla as a botanical helps marry the botanicals with the sweetness of the base. Mash bill: 70% Corn, 20% Wheat, 10% Malted Barley. Bourbon- 80 proof $47.40 This bourbon screams corn on the nose with beautiful fruit and a nice dry nish. It is very apparent that this bourbon was aged in air- dried oak barrels just under 4 years. Mash bill: 70% Corn, 20% Rye, 10% Malted Barely. Rye Whiskey- 80 Proof $40.40 This rye is a perfect expression of Rye. Lively spice from the rye, is accompanied by a full body and slight sweetness in the nish from the corn in the mash bill. Exquisite. Mash bill: 70% Rye, 20% Corn, 10% Malted Barely. Tasting Notes by Alessandro Bermudez. Not the Master Distiller.

Buffalo Trace Distillery

Buffalo Trace Distillery Buffalo Trace Distillery is a distillery located in Frankfort, Kentucky. It has historically been known by several names, including most notably, the George T. Stagg Distillery and the O.F.C. Distillery. Its namesake bourbon brand, Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, was introduced in August 1999. The Buffalo Trace Distillery stands as the oldest distilling site in the United States. Located on what the company claims was once an ancient Buffalo crossing on the banks of the Kentucky River in Franklin County, the distillery is named after the American Bison that created paths followed by America's early pioneers. The Sazerac company, a New Orleans, Louisianabased producer and importer, purchased the distillery in 1992 and is now the parent company of Buffalo Trace Distillery. The distillery is listed on the National Register of Historic Places under its old name, George T. Stagg Distillery. Buffalo Trace has three core whiskey mash bills that they use for all their award winning whiskeys and bourbons.

CARPANO ANTICA FORMULA

Red Velvet. Those words describe exactly the vanilla, mint, herbs, plums, gs, spices, dried fruit, orange rind, almonds, cocoa and subtle hints of tobacco one will nd with mere drops of this luxuriant vermouth as it plays across the tongue. Carpano Antica Formula technically sits within the aperitif category of spirits so consuming it as is truly is worthwhile and fully recommended. Antonio Benedetto Carpano(1764, Bioglio (Biella) - 1815, Turin) was an Italian distiller, famous for having invented Vermouth and consequently theaperitif. In 1786, Antonio Benedetto Carpano invented modern Vermouth in Turin, made from white wine added to an infusion of herbs and spices, in more than 30 varieties. It was sweetened with spirit, which he believed would be a more suitable beverage for ladies than the localred wines. Vermouth proved so popular that soon his shop was open 24 hours a day. Since then this distinctive drink has been exported throughout Europe and the world and is now produced by the Cinzano, Martini & Rossi, Campari and Gancia companies. The Carpano brand still exists, producing two distinct qualities of vermouth: the so-called "Original Torino Vermouth" that is produced according to the original recipe, and the "Punt e Mes" quality, more aromatic and bitter. Carpano was by all accounts a cultured man with a passion for the poetry of Goethe and reputedly named his new drink after the German word for wormwood, "Wermut".
