2010-2012 GOLF COURSE IMPROVEMENTS

FACILITIES New Creekside Clubhouse that includes golf shop, restrooms, dining area and meeting rooms. New golf maintenance facility that includes offices, restrooms, showers, gas pump, storage bins and a program of equipment replacement that allows us to stay current with our maintenance needs. Pump station and replacement sprinkler system in only five years old. The pump station was moved with improved capacity so that we could water all 27 holes with domestic water. This saves us buying EBMUD water and translates to hundreds of thousands of dollars in savings. Water well drilled on driving range to capture additional water for irrigation.

PRACTICE AREA Rebuild of small practice green near street. Rebuild of putting green in front of golf shop. Addition of state of the art practice facility for chipping and pitching. New practice green adjacent to the first tee Dollar Ranch golf course. Updating the driving range with new mats, range dividers, signs and fixed many drainage problems throughout the area.

DOLLAR RANCH GOLF COURSE Hole #1- New drainage along cart path that connects with drain lines in the fairway, rebuild of both sand bunkers and new sand added, fixing sprinklers around green to provided better coverage and fix approach and new drainage along front of the tee. Hole #2- Rebuild of all four bunkers with new drainage and sand. Improve irrigation coverage surrounding green so it reduces the amount of water that is applied over bunkers. Hole #3- New drainage along hillside that connects with drainage in front of green, rebuild of large bunker on right side of the green, approach worked on to accommodate turf growth and planting of trees in the fairway. Improve irrigation coverage at fairway bunkers to improve turf density. Hole #4- New drainage added to the front of the green to reduce wet bog areas. Crew rebuilt both bunkers with new drainage and added new sand. We changed irrigation to reduce water that is applied over the bunkers.

Hole #5- All greenside bunkers have been rebuilt with improved drainage and new sand. Crew changed the irrigation coverage so there is a reduction in the amount of water applied over the bunkers. Hole #6- New drainage added along the cart path to get rid of fairway wet spots, both bunkers at the green have been rebuilt with new drainage and new sand. Improved sprinkler coverage has increased grass in approach area. Hole #7- Removal of left bunker greenside and a total rework of the approach to accommodate turf growth, stairs added to sand bunker on the right, fixed mainline by the first bridge, increased grass growth around the 100 yard marker and work in the creek to save large oak by the second bridge. We also improved irrigation coverage surrounding the green to reduce the amount of water that is applied over the bunkers and still cover the approach. Hole #8- Improved irrigation coverage surrounding green to reduce the amount of water that is applied over the bunkers and improved coverage at approach. Installed drains around the green to eliminate wet bog areas. Installed drain lines at the lower perimeter of the green to prevent turf loss on the green. Hole #9- New drainage added along cart path to get rid of wet areas in fairway, better sprinkler coverage to accommodate turf growth in the approach and around the entire green complex, eliminating overwatering (got rid of wet bog at left of green). A drain was installed at the parking turn around at the tee that now connects to a drain line in the front of the 8th green to eliminate a standing water problem. Hole #10- Crew improved irrigation at the greens perimeter to reduce the amount of water applied over the bunkers and eliminate wet bog area left of the green. Hole #11- Increased coverage of grass in the entire fairway and the green approach, fixed drainage in driving area and by the tees. Crew improved irrigation coverage surrounding the green to eliminate wet area right side of the green. Hole #12- Improved irrigation coverage at the green area to reduce the amount of water that is applied over the bunkers. Installed a drain line the length of the hole to remove water that accumulated at the base of the hillside along the right side of the hole. Installed deep drain lines at the base of the hill at the back right of the green to eliminate a wet bog area that existed all year long. Hole #13- Improved irrigation coverage at the green to reduce the amount of water that is applied over bunkers and eliminate wet bog area left of the green under the oak trees. Extensive drainage improvements have been made in the right rough. Hole #14- Improved irrigation coverage at the green area to reduce the amount of water that is applied over the bunker. We recently moved a sprinkler to improve coverage at the approach.

Hole #15- Repair and added drainage throughout the upper fairway, last year we installed a drain line redirecting the water into a drain that empties into erosion area in front of the tee. All four bunkers have been rebuilt with new drainage lines and new sand, improved sprinkler coverage around the green complex to help turf and improve approach. Hole #16- Both bunkers at the green rebuilt with new drainage and sand, approach improved with better turf and drainage in front of green replaced. Improved irrigation coverage at the green to reduce the amount of water applied over the bunkers. Hole #17- Rebuilt both greenside bunkers with new drainage and new sand. Improved irrigation coverage at the green to reduce the amount of water that is applied over the bunkers and eliminate a wet area left of the green. We also installed a smile drain at the right front of the greens perimeter to grow healthy turf. Hole #18- Rebuilt three greenside bunkers with new drainage and new sand. Drainage added to right side of the green. We improved irrigation coverage at the green to reduce the amount of water that is applied over the bunkers, improved coverage at the approach and eliminate wet bog area right of the green.
