Minutes Rosa Serratore Motion: Move to accept the minutes for May 19, 2012 (Carol Treglio/Annette Kitagawa) MSP Treasurers Report Tina Shinsato Preliminary approved in May by CMC-S Board Projections as of 7/1 Start at $185,000 and End at $130,300 Actual loss last year = $40,195 (projected loss was $88,400); this year project $54,700 loss Better turn out than expected at conference last year, spent less, $10,000 dues rebate from State = $30,000 Conference 2012 a) Conference website page: registration, hotel, program, volunteer tabs b) Registration: new team = Emily and Judi Wish list: 5 computers for onsite registration adjacent to registration room in a computer roomall will be taken care of in this room. Three students volunteers for this registration room. Pre-registration will need to deal with the badges, holder, pen and pad, and the program since all registration is online Would like at least 3 student volunteers stationed at Express Tables (this same area will be used for Thursday materials distribution) 7:30 am opening; readied by 7 am c) Program ctte: have three slots due to last minute cancellations; Featured Speakers given personal email from Joy Oseguraall have replied enthusiastically d) Exhibits: 70 vendors; 34 at $500; 32 at $600 Short presentations will be conducted by vendor e) Program booklet: send pictures to Nitza, who formats NOT writes the messagesitems due by Oct 1 Speakers set by Oct 8; ads allowed by vendors f) Meal Events: no sponsors as of 9/22; some donations for the affiliate luncheonnot as much as usual, but may come in the day of the conference g) Pre-Conference dinner: Evite for ctte and one guest for Thurs Nov 1 at 6:30pm Andreas Room at the Renaissance h) Reimbursements by Dec 15, 2012 i) Online Conference Evaluation Bruce shared the three options regarding the challenges for the 2013 and 2014 dates Request to review the Timeline shared in google docs
