I attest that James Richie, applicant for admission to the Basic Peace Officer Academy, meets the following

requirements: 1. Is a citizen of the United States of America. 2. Is at least 21 years of age. 3. Possesses a valid driver license.

Has been fingerprinted, subjected to a search of local, state, and national records and fingerprint files to disclose any criminal record and has been subjected to a thorough, comprehensive background investigation and interviewed personally prior to appointment by representatives of the appointing authority. Has not been on court ordered community supervision or probation for any criminal offenseabove the grade of Class C misdemeanor within the last ten (10) years.

Is not under indictment for any criminal offense. Possesses good moral character. Is a high school graduate, or has passed a GED test indicating high school graduation level and has attained the equivalent of twelve (12) semester hours credit at an accredited college or university with at least a 2.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale, or an honorable discharge from the armed forces of the United States after at least 24 months of active duty service. 180 days to be both physically sound and free from any defect which may adversely affect the performance of duty as a peace officer, and shows no trace of drug dependency or illegal drug use after a physical examination, blood test or other medical test, as required by Section 415.057 Government Code.
