The important thing in science is not so much to obtain new facts as to discover new ways of thinking about them,

states Sir William Lawrence Bragg, an Australian-born British physicist. Therefore, science is not about just memorizing the school textbook or receiving the best score in the class on a test; instead, science is about asking questions about the world and coming up with useful and reliable answers. Braggs statement describes the scientific method, a process that any life scientist, such as Irene Duhart Long and Geerat Vermejj, utilizes, anywhere and to do anything related to life, such as discover how organisms interact with each other and the environment or how organisms function and behave. For instance, the panda is currently endangered, and a plethora of people are dutifully attempting to save the panda from extinction. At the outset, the scientific method is my plan to promote the safety of the panda. I would have to develop the problem of the safety of endangered pandas, learn about present methods, formulate a hypothesis, collect materials if needed, carry out the plan, make observations and record data, and then make conclusions and build on results. I hypothesize that if I were to promote the safety, I would set aside an environment specifically for the panda, claim poaching of pandas illegal, and make a covenant between countries to breed pandas.
