Freddie Mercury

Freddie Mercury (Farrokh Bulsara) was a famous British musician. He was born in Zanzibar, East Africa, on 5th September 1946. He grew up in India where he studied at St. Peters School and St. Marys School. At the age of 17, Mercury and his family moved to Middlesex, England. He studied art at Isleworth Polytechnic in West London. He earned a Diploma in Art and Graphic Design at Ealing Art College. He was never married but he dedicated his life to music. He was a vocalist and a songwriter of the rock band Queen. Queen's performance was considered as the greatest live performance in the history of rock music. The band were the first ever to play in South American stadiums. He died of AIDS on 24th November 1991.
