    Kharms, Blue Notebook No. 10 There lived a red-headed man, who had no eyes and no ears. He didn't even have hair, so he was known as red-headed only conventionally. He could not speak, since he had no mouth. Nor did he have a nose. He didn't even have arms or legs. And he didn't have a stomach, and he didn't have a back, and he didn't have ribs, and he had no innards whatsoever. There was nothing! Therefore it is unclear what we are talking about. In fact it would be better if we didn't speak about him any longer. (1936) translated by Alec Brookes
