Target Audience

The purpose of our documentary is to investigate into the theory of whether violent media (in our case, video games) pay an affect on the behaviour of teenagers, and to then inform parents with teenage children about the possible effects caused.

Who We Are Aiming The Documentary At

Due to a number of reasons, we decided we would need to make our target audience be parents with teenage children. Some of the reasons include: The purpose of our documentary (investigating into whether violent games affect teenagers behaviour, and there for informing parents about these effects). The time slot we have chosen for the documentary to be on air (a weekly slot at 9pm, on channel 4) Such time slots are known to contain: . Popular and entertaining single documentaries or series that can take us into darker stories or more adult worlds Due to the video game violence shown in explicitly-rated games that will be shown within the documentary, this also deems the documentary not suitable for an earlier time, especially not before the watershed (at 9pm).
