To balance a rotating mass (disturbing mass) with a same mass (balancing mass) rotating at equal radii in the same plane

Apparatus
Balancing apparatus, weights, nuts etc.

Procedure
Initially run the machine without adding any mass to check vibration. Then add disturbing mass md at an angle d at radius rd. As a result machine vibrates a lot. Then add balancing mass mb at the same radius (rb = rd) at an angle b. Again run the machine. There is no vibration in the system which shows that the machine is balanced now. At the end repeat the whole procedure by changing masses and angles.
