Hi. This is a follow-up on my comments about the project to extend BART into Santa Clara County.

My grave concern is not so much with the idea of the project itself, but with its humongous cost bumping off other transit projects. We have lots of other transit needs here in Santa Clara County, such as the two I briefly mentioned at the end of my comments at the meeting, and the need to provide more VTA bus service (as measured by total number of in-service bus hours). I would like to know how you plan to prevent the BART project from crowding out other transit projects, remembering that it has already started (as I mentioned at the meeting). Board Secretary, please forward this to the appropriate manager at VTA. I am looking forward to a response from the person who controls transit projects here (which ones go forward and which don't).
