I saw this on Face Book.

And have often noticed the irony of our rules where

this sort of a circle operates in the field of identification. And at the base of all
this idiocy is the ration card, which none of uses now but which must
nevertheless be retained/maintained/ held for one never knows when it will be
demanded and by which idiot in the gargantuan and faceless machinery that
