Vietnam Veterans Chapter 1046 Leadership-Scholarship Award General Information for Award Application
Leadership-Scholarship Award: $500 minimum. Amount varies by year. Applicant Must Meet All of the Following Requirements:
1. A United States Citizen 2. A Duval County Public High School or Private High School Senior enrolled in a JROTC Program. 3. Nominated by a school faculty member, counselor, or administrator. 4. Must provide a second letter of recommendation from another school faculty member, guidance specialist, or administrator. 5. A minimum un-weighted overall GPA of 3.0. 6. Have current plans for Higher Education. 7. Have plans for Military Service. 8. Must submit a one to three page essay describing education success, personal qualifications and achievements for receiving the Leadership-Scholarship Award.

Application Submission, Evaluation Information, and Award Information:

1. March 1st of high school graduation year: Date applications must be received by the Education Committee of Vietnam Veterans Chapter 1046. 2. March and April of high school graduation year: Evaluations of Leadership-Scholarship Award Applications by the VVA Education Committee. 3. May 1st : Date the Education Committee must be notified of the details of the scheduled May JROTC Award Ceremony. Information to be supplied to the committee includes date, time, location, and agenda of the Award Ceremony.
