I am truly proud of everyone who joined this group and is making an attempt to go grainfree.
I formed this group because I truly believe that food is powerful and can change
everything. That is my motivation. That is my mission. I want with all my heart to give
you this gift of healing, and support you through the difficult changes you have chosen.
Most of you know me well and know my passion around food and healing. You can do
this!!
So let me support you. Ask, complain, share your triumphant moments, I will be waiting.
Until you get used to it you may make a few mistakes. We have to check ingredients
carefully and scrutinize everything we eat, but it gets much easier as time goes on. Don't
be hard on yourself, you will get used to it!
After a few weeks on grain-free you may experience an "illness" which is really a detox.
When the body senses it is safe to detox because the toxic load has been cut way back
the immune system allows in a "helper". A cold, a virus some type of detoxing aid. But
after that you will feel much better than ever. You may also get a headache initially as
the body gets used to no sugars and adjusts. Please hang in there, it will get
better!You can take a detoxing bath every night. Just fill the bath with water as hot as
you can take it and add either 1-2 cups of apple cider vinegar, or 1-2 cups of baking
soda, or 1-2 cups of epsom salts. Any bath toys, rubber ducks, music and candles are
totally allowed!
Sit for about a half hour. Sweating is good. Relax and enjoy!
