K01 IEC 61850 basics, application, testing

In an increasing number of switch-gear assemblies, communication occurs according to IEC 61850. Planners, operators and commissioning staff require new competencies for a successful deployment. Apart from a well-founded introduction to the standard we attach great importance to practical exercises. You learn about implementation in devices and apply the engineering process according to IEC 61850-6 in a project of your own. You analyse devices (IEDs) with the "OMICRON IEDScout" and learn to test communication via GOOSE using the CMC and the OMICRON Test Universe. Following this training, you will be able to understand systems with IEC 61850, to analyse them and carry out protection testing. Contents Basics Data models and services Specific mapping Configuration and engineering Application of communication networks GOOSE: Basics and application Analysis with OMICRON IEDScout Protection testing of GOOSE with the OMICRON Test Universe Target group Trained personnel from utilities and industry, which is responsible for strategic planning or testing of protection systems. Remark This course includes the contents of the one-day courses K01 and K02 of the 2006 catalogue. Duration 2 days Special requirements Electrical engineering skills
