Romania has attracted up to last year\'s 4.

39 billion euros of EU funds for rural develop, which is an absorption rate of approximately 44% of the total amount allocated to the National Rural Development Programme (RDP) 2007-2013, according National Payment Agency for Rural Development and Fisheries (APDRP). To date, 64,845 APDRP concluded financing contracts for investments in agriculture and rural development with a grant worth 5.1 billion euros. This amount represents a contract value of over 70% on the entire amount of the investment allocated to RDP. Investment projects were submitted 117,221 applications for grant payments with a value of over 2.7 billion. The commitments entered into for measures targeting payments to the surface and complementary national direct payments were paid totaling over 1.7 billion.
