Great importance is placed on loyalty, politeness, personal responsibility and on everyone working together for the good of the larger group. A handshake is appropriate when meeting a Japanese person. Also they bow.

Ladies should extend their hand first to men. Friends must greet each other with a kiss on both cheeks. You should maintain eye contact or the Italians would think youre hiding something.

Nodding is very important to do when a person is speaking English. It signifies that you can understand him/her.
