He is the number 2 in Innovation Factory organization which started off as his brain child and then moved on to get funding for it from the government. He claims that he is good at bringing people together. You cannot be afraid of failing. Our greatest accomplishment is rising after falling. Innovation factory: 2+ year old, non-profit, organization, based in Hamilton at McMaster innovation center. Resource community developer + connector = accelerator. Bringing together financial organizations and local institutions to accelerate growth. Bringing private, governmental, entrepreneurs, students and external (media and such) together. Economic Gardening: developing and cultivating a home-grown entrepreneur with infrastructure. Market intelligence, and developing connections financiers and such. Innovation: positive change. Opposite of innovation is status quo. Capitalism 3.0: Profits are essential (so are non-profits). Its our recognition that all of our decision has consequences. The speaker believes it is urgent to take action.
