CPM in the cloud firm Adaptive plans channel recruitment

Corporate Performance Management (CPM Software) vendor Adaptive Planning has strengthened its UK team in an effort to drive more business and grow its channel. The firm has hired Ian Preston as its VP of sales for UK & Ireland joining the company from a five year stint at SAPs sales operation team, and a previous seven years as an account director at Business Objects Former CMO of Maxima, Corinne Steer has joined Adaptive as director of marketing for the UK and Ireland. Steer was previously Northern European marketing director for Hyperion and a marketing director at Computacenter. Although globally Adaptive has a 50/50 split between direct and indirect sales of its cloud based CPM software, the firm has grown its channel to 300 partners and more than 1,500 cloud CPM customers, experiencing more than 90 percent year-over-year growth in new software sales. Adaptive has only five partners in the UK but according to new CMO Steer, Worldwide, Adaptive Planning added more than 100 partners in 2012 and as part of our business growth in the UK and Ireland we expect to add further partners during the coming year. Having our own operation in the UK and Ireland will allow us to address a greater business opportunity particularly in larger enterprises. However we remain fully committed to working with partners in accelerating, driving and optimising channel opportunities. Adaptive has also recruited Lee Nelson as regional sales manager for the UK & Ireland, an exec with 20 years of enterprise software including previous roles at Infor, MicroStrategy and Business Objects. Ron Owen also joins as a solutions specialist for Adaptive Planning after four years as a principal solutions consultant with Oracle and an 11 year stint as a pre-sales consultant working at Hyperion. Adaptive Planning customers include Siemens, Philips, and Konica Minolta, as well as high-growth companies such as Jive Software, DocuSign and NetSuite.
