I want to shrink the Win 7 partition to create a new 150 GB partition. when I shrink it , the 150 GB is shown as unallocated space.when I try to make a new partition it says: "you cannot create a new volume because the disk contains the maximum number of partitions" Is there anything i can do from windows disk management to create the 150 GB partition or do I need a 3rd party Partition manager to do it(Suggest some good partition manager if this is the case)? Thanks 1 people also had this question

Hi and welcome, be sure to save before the whole harddrive or make a backup one key recovery or with other backup software to prevent system damage ...(i.e. system didnt start or no system message ...something else) on extra storage ... A freeware solution i.e. is TodoBackup Yes 4 partitions thats the ol windows restriction... but you can use Easeus Partitionmaster Free to resize the second partition (windows 7) and give that free allocated space to the logical drive for example .... windows 7 drive you could small it down to 30 GB give the logical enough space for your data ..music,video,pics etc.... ...another freeware software , will do the same Easeus PM Free , as second example is PartitionWizard Free Dont touch partition 1 (Windows 7 use this ) & 4 (OKRecovery) .. if you didnt save any... sincerely KalvinKlein ______________________________________ Thinkpad X200s AFFS 8GB 3G SSD Win7 64bit
