ENERGY TRADING LAB The course of Energy Trading provides practical electronic trading exposure to the students through

the Energy Trading lab. The Energy Trading Lab forms a 4-credit course taught over semesters 2nd and 3rd of the Energy Trading program. The Energy Trading Lab uses the CQG software which provides a virtual yet live platform for electronic trading to the students. The software takes live quotes of the commodities like crude oil, natural gas, gold etc from the New York Mercantile Exchange. This enables the students to not only get a clear picture of the International Trading scenario but also understand the fundamentals of electronic trading. The Energy Trading Lab serves as an important means for the students to comprehend the Energy Trading and Risk Management Softwares, Tools and concepts. The students thus learn to practically apply the Risk Management and Hedging strategies taught over in the course of Energy Trading. Thus the Energy Trading Lab helps enhance the students abilities to understand, comprehend and implement his trading knowledge in the future endeavours.
