How was problem corrected? : Used Parts Reply : :

Catching SMR : 75 (Stick) PC300LC-7E0 S/N A88186 75 hours, #6 cylinder not fring, intake valve is bent and stuck open. Customer complained to distributor of engine smoke and low performance. Distributor technician used cylinder cutout to determine that #6 cylinder was firing, but was fueling (white smoke and raw fuel from exhaust). Removed valve cover and found #6 intake valve crosshead laying on top of cylinder head. Removed cylinder head and found #6 intake valve bent and stuck open (off seat) by approximately 1/16". Also, found that #4 piston has light impressions where piston has hit the valve, #5 piston has distinct impressions where piston was making contact with the valve and a chip in the liner. #6 piston has deep impressions where piston was making contact with valve and the liner is chipped. Engine assembly will be removed and replaced with a new engine.
