Neighborhoods in Transition
Pre-WW2 neighborhoods across the country share similar characteristics:
Small and rectangular blocks, alleys, streets grids, mix of housing types, homes/offices/retail all within the same neighborhood.

Post-WW2 development separated uses into pods, requiring long commutes between. Developed in isolation, neighborhoods lost interesting character as they began to be built in cookie-cutter style.
