Assessment Objectives

AO1 - Develop Develop ideas through sustained and focussed investigations informed by contextual and other sources demonstrating analytical and critical understanding AO2 - Experiment Experiment with and select appropriate resources, media, materials, techniques and processes, reviewing and rening work as it develops AO3 - Record Record in a visual and/or other forms ideas, observations and insights relevant to intentions, demonstrating ability to reect on work and progress.

AO4 - Present Present a personal, informed and meaningful response demonstrating critical understanding, realising intentions and, where appropriate, making connections between visual, oral or other elements

Simplied Assessment Objectives


AO1 - Develop
Develop ideas based on information you have gathered from looking at the work of others Look at the work of other artists and cultures Include personal responses, both visually and verbally Collect primary research (rst hand objects, visits, drawings, photographs etc.) Collect secondary research (magazines, internet books etc.) contextual sources Produce transcriptions and responses (own versions linked to project) of artists work in relevant media. See the work of others in galleries exhibitions or museums Reect upon your work (what has/hasnt work worked?...why, where is you project going? ) and demonstrate progression (what are you doing next?...why) Document and record your ideas Present your ndings from research and related sources.

AO3 - Record
Record observations and ideas which are appropriate to your project and ideas (both visually and verbally) Include primary drawings, photos, manipulated photos and annotations.

AO4 - Present
Present personal, informed and meaningful outcomes from your research and development work. Use the information gathered from your research and development work to create a personal outcome (nal piece). Demonstrate your understanding and realise intentions. Make informed connections with visual elements or the work of others. Display your skills in the media you have chosen. Write an evaluation

AO2 - Experiment
Experiment and choose appropriate resources Include a range of media, materials, techniques and processes Use art materials and equipment to generate ideas Review, modify and rene your work as it develops. Plan your work and ideas. Annotate and evaluate the processes (at all times) to inform your further development towards your nal outcome.
