Introduction:
After reading this article, you will know how the data/records will Transfer from one layer to another layer and also we can see the number of records i.e. the count of records/LUWs will change before V3 job and After V3 Job. LBWQ: qRFC Monitor for the outbound queue, we use this transaction to monitor the status of the LUWs in the outbound queue and restart any hanging queues manually. RSA7: BW Delta Queue Monitor, we use this to see transferred data (delta) for a DataSource and a Target system. SM37: To select jobs to display and manage, refine your job selection by filling out each tab as required. Only jobs that meet all of your specification will be selected. This is the place to see the status of the background jobs and manage the jobs. Live Scenario: We want to know how qRFC Monitor for the outbound queue and BW Delta Queue working for Delta records. Here Im discussing about DataSources 2LIS_03_BF, we need set Update mode is Queued Delta. See the below screen. After that we will run V3 job in LBWE and we will compare the number of records at the starting point (Once V3 is started) and number of records at ending point (After V3 jobs completes). Detailed Steps: Please follow the steps for easy navigation, you can find the screenshots for each step , so go through this document step by step . Set the Queued Delta : Go to LBWE and set Update Mode is Queued Delta.
Note: Im assuming that, we already executed Init loads for 2LIS_03_BF DataSource successfully and we are ready to go for Delta Loads in BI/BW Server. Entries in SMQ1/LBWQ: Go to LBWQ/SMQ1 in ECC and see the Queue for various Modules i.e. SD, MM, PP etc... You can find out using application number, e.g.: For inventory 03. See the below screen which is having 02, 03, 04 and 06 applications, here we are talking about MCEX03 i.e. Inventory DataSources. It is having some entries in Queue i.e. once user will post/do some transactions related to Inventory, the data will come into the Queue and we can see the information in LBWQ/SMQ1. You can find two highlighted marks in the below screen. First one related to LUWs in RSA7 and second one related to actual uses Transactions entries. This number of entries will change once V3 job will completes.
Entries in RSA7 : See the entries (LUWs) for 2LIS_03_BF DataSource it indicates 32 at starting point i.e. before V3 job will start in LBWE. This count will increase after V3 job will completes.
Execute the V3 Job : Start V3 job in LBWE Tcode, go to LBWE and click on Job Control and then Start V3 job, see the below screen.
Once you will click on that you will get some screens you need to give proper parameters and then start V3 job. Click on Start Date.
It will open the below screen, here you can set the date, time and other parameters etc Click on Immediate.
After that you can see Immediate start in above screen. I.e. the V3 job will start immediately. Check, Save and Come back. Click on Print Program.
After that you can find GREEN symbols i.e. the given Parameters are correct.
Then you need to click on Schedule Job , to start your V3 job. You can find the New Job is Scheduled on the status bar, so our V3 is started.
Job Status in SM37: You can see the V3 job Status in SM37 Tcode. Go to SM37 and then give Job name , User name and Job Start Condition i.e. Date.
And then Execute. In below screen you can find the Job Status, now I it is Active.
After some time the Job will Completes , see below screen.
Entries in SMQ1/LBWQ after some Time : Now you can see the number of entries in SMQ1/LBWQ. (Compare with before V3 job starts). In the below screen you can find number of entries in second highlighted mark i.e. in MCEX03 , entries are reduced because the entries are moving from SMQ1/LBWQ to RSA7. This is real time system, so it always contains entries, I just shown you how the data will move once you start V3 job.
Entries in RSA7 (After Job Completes) : See the entries in RSA7 the total count is increased if you compare with before V3 job starts.
