Dear Andrew, Many people from around the world celebrate black history month. We celebrate black history month for two main people Fredrick Douglas and Abraham Lincoln.

It is important because African American people have come along way from where they were. I selected this poem because it looked interesting. The poem made me feel sad and happy at the same time.
