On behalf of Kickhams GAC Creggan I would like to extend a warm welcome to all our patrons today. This is the fourth year we have been running the Paddy McLarnon U21 Football Club Champions Tournament. I would like to thank our main sponsor Thomas Devlin Cars for enabling us to do so. Our previous finals have been won twice by Burren of Down and last year by St Endas Omagh who beat Mayobridge in a thrilling final. Will Bryansford continue that Down dominance or will Ballinderry win at their first time of asking? Both Bryansford and Ballinderry have served up some brilliant and exciting football, in doing so-demonstrating great passion for their clubs. Getting to the final has been no easy feat for both-and indeed Ballinderry, who may have been fancied by a lot of people-have had to fight against stern opposition from both Naomh Conaill of Donegal and Armagh Harps, showing a never say die character particularly in the semi-final. Bryansford, on the other hand, have matured nicely as the competition has developed. Their semi-final clash with Emerald Sarsfields of Monaghan, showed how much they have improved as they now aim for the ultimate prize. We look forward to todays final with excitement and expectation. Todays game is being refereed by Robbie ODonnell of the Naomh Mhuire club Donegal. We wish him and his team of umpires and linesmen every success. We ask you, our patrons, to add to the occasion by respecting the role they play.
