FIELDWORK EXPERIENCE

Last January 20 and 27, we had a NSTP fieldwork in Sitio Mabilog, Tarlac. It is very different on the first semester fieldwork. Our group was assigned to prepare food for the children. It was enjoying and fulfilling. The goal of the fieldwork is to help the community and conduct a feeding program. There are many activities that happened during the 2 day fieldwork. Some activities are for a short term goal only which is the feeding program while the long term goal is making a house for the community. In that community, weve met a kid that is current on 7th grade. He walks 1 and hour trek to go to his school. It give me an impact, even of the situation he is facing is still pursuing his studies. I know that these people that weve met are not the only person that is experiencing hard times in the lives. They are around the world, and I believed in our simple our help can reach them. I posted some picture on my Facebook to educate other or raise awareness about this national concern so that they can also help these communities. In this fieldwork, I dont feel any difficult part because in the end of every fieldwork, I felt satisfied that I had a chance to help these people. I will surely remember this extraordinary fieldwork that I had experienced. I will treasure this moments in my heart especially the mountain trekking, cooking and of course the feeding time. I can see that as a person, Im fully aware of the national concern in our country. If I had given a chance to have a fieldwork again, I will surely grab it and prepare for this opportunity to help our fellowmen.
