-After official have held office for ten years, they stay in office for life. -The Archon was the last office to be created during Medon. Acastus- Created Thesmothetae which is the legislative branch.

Draco- Political right only given to those who bore arm. -To be an Arch or Treasurers, the man has to own at least 10 minas. -Created a council of 401 men, who were appointed by men who had political power, so long as the men were at least 30 years old. -Set up the council of Areopagus to watch over officials to make sure they are compliance with the law. A person can be used as security for a loan.

Solon- Forbidden a person to be used as security. He created a new Constitution, and moved away from the laws Draco used. -He divides the people into four classes in in term of wealth. Five-HinderedBushel class, Calvary and Official, two hundred measures, and the laborers. Gave the lower class citizen voting right in electing the Archon by allowing each tribe to elected members to be chosen from. -Created a council of 401 men from chosen from each tribe, and appointed the

council of Areopagus to overlook and guard the law. Those who refuse to fight will not receive any share of the city during strife. -Set a court to resolve disputes, when someone was wronged. Discharge the loan owed by those in debt.

Pisistratus- Became a dictator, but was a friend of solon and fought along solon in Salamis. He was a dictator but he tried to uphold the rules Solon had created. He pretended to care for solon law and the people, but only to gain the trust of the people. He became a tyrant and was expelled twice. He then came into power once again and Athens started to move in a positive direction.

Hippias- Came into control after Pisistatus. He shared power with his brother Hipparchus , and when his brother was killed by Harmodious and Aristogito, his anger took over and he became a tyrant. He was overcome with anger and killed Aristogiton. He became cruel and sought revenge for his brothers death, and became bitter and suspicious of everyone.
