BRAIN JACK
A BOOK SOUNDTRACK My proposal for this semester (Spring 2013) is to write a musical score for the book Brain Jack by Brian Falkner using the various recording, software (DAWs), virtual instruments, and notational/publishing software available to Nyack College. This score will use electronic element fusion with a traditional soundtrack style. This soundtrack will take various musical elements from the following films:

TOOLS
SOFTWARE, HARDWARE, & EVERYTHING ELSE

The tools that will be used in this project are as follows: DAWs: GarageBand, ProTools 8 &10, Sonar 6 Notation: Sibelius 6 Recording: MacLab; Shure, etc. Instruments: Saxophone, Vocal, EWI, Drums, Etc.

The Point!
It is the goal of this project to release an EP online through my Facebook Page, Soundcloud and or iTunes. To do this I will use electronic elements and acoustic, use the DAWs to create, mix, and post produce, and create scores (using Sibelius 6) for publishing and performance use. In addition to releasing an EP, I will entertain possibly performing live elements of this EP for the 20thCentury Concert that is scheduled for this April in Pardington Hall at Nyack College. This will incorporate electronic music and live performance instruments (piano, sax, guitar, etc.). The release date for this project will be May 5th 2013.
