Binns, W.R., Cosmic-ray origins, Science, v.334, n. 6059, pp. 1071-72, 25 November 2011 The article talks about where the cosmic rays that seem to propagate towards Earth originate. As everyones common sense dictates, the simplest method of finding the source from where something originated is by retracing its steps but physicists disagree with this thought since these rays are electrically charged which means any magnetic field that they will pass through will greatly interfere the direction of the path that they are taking. Because of that, the experts considered to use gamma-ray measurements to identify their source, its nature, and how the particles are accelerated. After the rigorous measurement of different quantities and such, they have concluded that a great portion of cosmic rays detected here on Earth come from OB associations and their superbubbles.
