Banda Islands, about 132 kilometers southeast of Ambon, perched on the rim of Indonesias deepest sea, the Banda

Sea, archipelago consists of 13 islands, those are: Naira (known as Banda Naira), Banda Besar (Lonthoir), Run, Ai, Rozengain (or Hatta), Pisang (or Syahrir), Gunung Api island, Batu Kapal, Manuk, Karaka, Nailaka, Manukang, and Hatta Reef. Banda is a unique archipelago, because it has an island that topologically is very unique, the surface is lower than sea level. Some centuries ago, before the coming of the European to Banda, these islands were the main source of pepper, fuli, and nutmeg which were fought for by the nations in the world. The Europeans were trying to look for the source area for these spices and then strengthen it by fortresses and buildings, and now we still can see the ruins in all over Banda archipelago. Banda has become a paradise for the diver from all around the world with their colorful coral, warm sea water, and exotic sea live to explore a very natural and isolated dive site in the world.
