Statement:
Friendliness, passion, and patience are the cornerstones of my teaching style. I
develop trust and create a positive learning environment and experience for all of my
students.

Experience:
-Have written and taught curriculums in multiple learning institutions in areas of
guitar/bass/piano technique, music theory, as well as songwriting and composition.
-Directed, transposed/transcribed (for high school level), and performed music
(with student-teacher band in pit) for productions at Point Loma High School. In 2000
we did “Little Shop of Horrors” followed by “The Wiz” in 2001.

Guitar Trader- I have been working at Guitar Trader for over 5 years now. Here, I
have written many curriculums; we do private lessons in guitar, bass, and piano and
sculpt customized lesson plans (for each student) based on level and style of interest. I
have also taught group performance as well as music theory (basic to advanced) and
songwriting/composition.

Family Fine Arts Academy- In my short time there (fall/winter 2003-2004), I

wrote the program for guitar classes. I, also, taught group piano to 5 and 6 year olds. For
our Christmas recital, I sequenced and arranged background music for performances.

Recent Achievements:
-In 2008 earned an endorsement with Bad Cat amplifiers (guitar amplifier
company) and am now at the same sponsorship level as Taylor Swift, Maroon 5, and
Keith Urban.
-Recently sold two original songs. First, a song to a feature film with Laurence
Fishburne called “Days of Wrath” that is in talks for distribution right now. Second, the
theme song to a Killers of Comedy reality show that will be coming out on Howard TV
most likely next fall.

Education:
-Graduate of University of California at San Diego
-Bachelors in Fine Arts with focuses on guitar performance and technique as well
as advanced theory and composition
