Dear Sir or Madame, I am writing to apply to Iberdrola for a position as Civil Engineer advertised on the internet.

As you can see from my enclosed CV, I studied Civil Engineering in the University of Basque Country. Since I finished my degree I have been working on big projects as project manager in different companies around the world. Last year, I was promoted to the position of head manager of a team, it was a daunting challenge but I could cope with it. It is time to settle down and Glasgow is the perfect place to develop my career as engineer. I am now interested in working in an important company as it is Iberdrola and getting involved in a such big project as it is the wind energy generation in the shore. During these years I have gained enough experience and I consider myself well equipped to take up the challenge offered by the post of Civil Design engineer. I also feel I have the necessary personal qualities to deal with demands of the job. In concern to the language, I will not have any problems because I have been working on a similar position in the United States the last six months, so I am able to speak and write fluently.
