RELATIONSHIP*:

Think of the symbols in physics as the people, characters or parts of your analogy.

There are two types of these things the symbols represent


VECTORS: Have BOTH magnitude and AND direction mg= weight a=acceleration E=electric field Etc. CAREFUL-----vectors usually (but not always) have a vector arrow above the symbol.

SCALARS: Have magnitude and NO direction m = mass t=time E=energy Etc.

The mathematical operators show how the things the symbols represent interact with each other.
