1. What was your first reaction when reading the title of the story? (4
sentences) My first reaction is what they meant by I choose. If it meant people choosing what they want to do. If it meant that people could choose to stand up for themselves. If it meant that bully victims could choose to get picked on or not. I am not sure what it meant.

2. After reading the story, what does the author really mean when she writes
that she died in the sixth grade? Did she really die? Explain your answer using examples from the story. (4 sentences) The author meant that she just didnt even bother to live. She was not really dead she was just speaking metaphorically. She meant that she was not the same person anymore. She was just sad with no emotions like a dead person.

3. How does the author describe herself before she died? Go back to the story and find adjectives that describe her personality. (2 sentences)

The author describes her self as a happy person. That she was not the same person before she died. 4. In the second paragraph the author says she flat-lined. What does she mean? Look up the word in an online dictionary and write the definition. The author means that she had a electrical time sequence measurement that shows no activity and therefore when represented, shows a flat line instead of a moving one. That she sometimes shows no emotion.

5. . How did The Crew influence others in school? Give specific examples that you found throughout the story. (4 sentences) The crew influenced everybody to make fun of the bully victim. They had every body make fun of her because she cried. 6. The author mentions that the girls at the sleep over were 11 going on 17 then she states that she was content to be a kid for a while longer. How is it possible to be 11 going on 17? Describe some of the things the girls wanted to do that werent age appropriate. (4 sentences) The author means that the girls were doing stuff 11 years shouldnt do and doing stuff 17 years do. They were probably thinking about boys or saying bad words.
