What does this mean?

Full implementation of Conscious Discipline in Pre-K yields 27% more children who are predicted to be school ready and successful readers.
In 2008, the Osceola County School District (FL) began to implement Conscious Discipline in Voluntary Pre-K (VPK) sites. In Kindergarten, all students are screened using the Florida Kindergarten Readiness Screener (FLKRS). The FLKRS includes the Early Childhood Observation System (ECHOS) and the Florida Assessments for Instruction in Reading Kindergarten (FAIR-K). The ECHOS is an observational assessment system that is measured based on national standards in seven domains: Language and Literacy, Mathematics, Social and Personal Skills, Science, Social Studies, Physical Development and Fitness, and Creative Arts. The FAIR-K produces a PRS score which is a childs probability of becoming a future successful reader. Research results indicated that Kindergarteners who had Conscious Discipline as Pre-K students scored significantly higher on both the ECHOS and FAIR-K than Kindergarteners who did not have Conscious Discipline while in Pre-K.
