Ans: Minerals are mostly found in rocks as crystals. They are inorganic substances found in the earth crust and have definite chemical composition. 4.How is coal formed? Ans: It is obtained from underground mines. 5.Mention the two uses of coal? Ans: 1. Coal is used as a fuel for cooking food. 2. In thermal power houses, coal is used as fuel to produce electricity. 6. Explain the formation of petroleum? Ans: Petroleum is formed by the decomposition of matter, both animals and vegetables which got buried under the soil millions of years ago. 7. Mention some uses of rock and minerals?
