The pan yard is alive with an atmosphere that will take you back in time to the origin of the steel band. The tour includes a complimentary drink, a short history of the evolution of the steel pan The National Instrument of Trinidad & Tobago and a scintillating performance by the resident steelband. You would be invited to have a personal hands-on experience of the various pan instruments. Take in some local street food around the Queens Park Savannah, such as doubles and corn soup then on to the hotspots such as Ariapita Avenue where there is an abundance of bars, pubs and casinos.

Friday 21st June 2013 Port Of Spain City tour / Angostura Distillery & Butterfly Museum / Central Indian Cultural tour A guided tour of the city of Port-of-Spain, the Capital of Trinidad, we touch on all the main points of interest, including historical landmarks, Cathedrals, and Government buildings. We move on to discover the wonderful architecture of the Magnificent Seven, the beauty of the Queens Park Savannah and the Botanical Gardens. At the Angostura Distillery, the Angostura tram takes you on an exciting and informative journey through the Angostura Bitters and Rum Factory the Home of Angostura, established in 1824. Add to this a visit to the Angostura Art gallery, Butterfly Collection, the Angostura Gift Shop (for a wide

selection of spirits and souvenirs) and conclude with a stop at the Angostura Bar for a true taste of Trinidad & Tobago. Leaving the capital city of Port-of-Spain, your journey takes you to the center of the island of Trinidad to three Indian cultural sites. Weaving your way through a rural landscape of small towns and villages you arrive at the Siew Shiv Siewdass Temple in the Sea, on the western coastline of the Gulf of Paria. Siew Siewdass was an Indian indentured labourer who toiled for (17) seventeen years using buckets filled with stones and sand to build a (300) three hundred foot walkway to this magnificent little temple. Your journey continues to the only one of its kind in the Caribbean- the Indo Caribbean Museum. Precious artifacts and literature collected from the period 1845 are displayed. Our next stop is the Hanuman Murti, it is considered to be the highest Murti in the Western World (85) eighty five feet in height. On the same compound you can visit the Dattareya Yoga Temple. Saturday 22nd June 2013 Asa Wright Nature / Mount St. Benedict A scenic highway drive east of Port-of-Spain through residential, agricultural and industrial districts, continuing on to Blanchisseuse mountain road, through our tropical rain forest, and several cocoa, coffee and citrus estates. Upon arrival at the Centre, you will be taken on a guided tour on one of the many trails where your naturalist guide will interpret the rich variety of plant and animal life protected within the centres grounds as you explore the Discovery Trail. Colourful birds, like the brilliant green Honeycreepers and the Jacob hummingbirds visit the nearby feeders just below the verandah. This is one of the best places for birding in the tropics. You can also relax in the cozy comfort of the estate house and admire the view from the verandah.

The day concludes with a visit to Mount St. Benedict. Situated in St. Augustine, Mt. St. Benedict was established in 1912 and is the oldest monastery in the Caribbean. It was dedicated to Our Lady of Exile and the architectures and shrines are full of rich history. Visit the gift shop on site where you can purchase tokens and the famous yogurt made by the monks. The breathtaking view of the Caroni Plains can be seen to the South and to the North, lush green vegetation and sloping valleys. Sunday 23rd June 2013 Return Airport transfer
