CLINTON LAKE 30 MILE TRAIL RACE

(3 LOOPS OF 10 MILES)

Course Description

*93% mainly single track trail with roots, sticks and rocks, marked by white painted
blazes on tress/posts + 7% pavement.
*(No course access except at the 5.5 mile aid station and start/finish.)

NOTE: RUNNERS MUST CHECK-IN AT THE 5.5 AID STATION and THE
FINISH OF EACH LOOP IN THE PARKING LOT BY RACE NUMBER.

*Total elevation gain of about 1790’ per loop


*30-33 hills and 33 wood bridges per loop

Start (This year reverse course direction)


Rear of parking lot at North Fork Boat Access
Go 400’ straight out parking lot to road, turn left, go uphill on road to trailhead

Mile 0-1 – First .4 mile on pavement to trailhead, down/up power line hill
Elevation gain of 160’
Mile 1-2 – Flat, rolling section.
Elevation gain of 140’
Mile 2-3 – Several great views on top of the hills, down the trough.
Elevation gain of 165’
Mile 3-4 – Some good hills, past cabin and thru the woods
Elevation gain of 220’
Mile 4-5 – Across power line, ups and downs, in the woods
Elevation gain of 250’
Mile 5-6 – A couple good hills, flat at aid station and Iron Bridge
Elevation gain of 160’
Mile 5.5 - Aid Station at North Fork Canoe Access
Mile 6-7 –Along creek but up high, nice views of waterfowl area, some cows
Elevation gain of 145’
Mile 7-8 – Across prairie grass area between woods
Elevation gain of 170’
Mile 8-9 – Up/down thru the woods
Elevation gain of 240’
Mile 9-10 – Great views of lake, with many short steep hills
Elevation gain of 140’ (1790’)

After the trail go 830’ across road onto parking lot, turn right around parking lot to finish
at rear of lot at the start line.
