Having graduated from Nevada State College with a B. A. in Elementary Education, I am ready to have my own class and take on the great responsibility of a teacher. I also feel that by earning an emphasis in bilingual education, I will be a great addition to your school. I am very excited to be a part of the Laura Dearing team and to work together to help the students become life-long learners who will develop into successful citizens. My student teaching experience at Laura Dearing Elementary School has greatly enhanced my understanding of what it takes to be a great teacher. I learned so much from your fifth grade team and my cooperating teachers. Besides my student teaching, my schooling has also given me the chance to observe for over 60 hours at various other elementary schools throughout the Las Vegas valley. These observations have helped broaden my views on the different styles of teaching. I feel that I have gained the skills that I need to help my students succeed. I would love to have the opportunity to work with your fifth grade students. I have always had a passion for teaching and helping children learn and grow. I have the patience and commitment that it takes to make a difference in the lives of these students. Students need a positive influence in their own lives and I am the man for the job.
