Hand Washing According to the Department of Health, 2007, hand washing is a process that mechanically remove dirt and

debris from the skin of your hands with plain soap and water. Purpose of washing hands by DEPKES 2007 is one element of infection prevention. Water used clean, clear, odorless and colorless. Hand washing should use soap. Cleaning agent shaped soap is either solid or liquid will help release the dirt and germs that stick on the outer surface of the skin of the hands and nails. With proper hand washing with soap the dirt and germs will be lifted partially. This greatly helps reduce the risk of infection. Here is a step handwashing as recommended by WHO 2005 are 7 steps that was developed into 10 steps. 1. Rinse hands under running water 2. Flatten with the palms of the hand soap 3. Rub the back of the hand and between - between your finger left and right hand, and vice versa. 4. Rub the palms and between - between your fingers 5. Finger - the finger in both hands interlocked. 6. Rub left thumb in the palm of your right hand spin and do the opposite. 7. Rub with rotating fingertips - right hand fingers on the left palm and vice versa 8. Rub the left wrist with the right hand and do the opposite. 9. Rinse hands with water. 10. Dry your hands with a cloth or tissue
