Einsteins Final Gift to Me I knew that day was different I could see it in your eyes I heard you say you love me Then I heard the words good-bye. You held me close like always As your tears fell upon my head You held me just a little tighter And I felt your sense of dread. You spent the day loving me Like youd done every day before You took me to all my favorite places Though my hips were growing sore. That day we spent together was perfect in every way But I noticed you grew quiet As the sky had changed to gray. I know how deep you love me There was never any doubt I know that letting go was difficult But my body had finally given out.
