AEGEAN SEA We see a huge, beautiful island. Sparkling waves crash upon the shore. Tropical trees cover the island. CUT TO: We see Greek architecture. Temples and stone walkways are everywhere. Women in armor and dresses are seen, but no men. CUT TO: We see a large temple. CUT TO: A woman kneels in front of statue depicting Artemis, Greek goddess of beauty. The woman is Hippolyta. Her black hair falls perfectly into place, and she wears light armor. Hippolyta: Ares time has come to an end. He is to be released by Hades today. My goddess, shall the same fate that befell the world before befell it again? We hear a misty, feminine voice. Yes... if you try to save it. A new ambassador shall be chosen. A new ambassador shall come forth... but I cannot see the outcome, only that the ambassador will die. But it will end in the Underworld. And that you will be invaded. Hippolytas eyes widen. CUT TO: A dark haired woman wields a sword. She is lightly armored, and parries other swords. The woman is Diana, daughter of Hippolyta. She deflects a swing taken at her, and lightly cuts the womans wrist, causing her to drop her sword. She blocks another attack, grabs the other womans wrist, and twists it. She drops her sword, leaving one woman left. Diana smirks, and the woman charges at her. Diana sidesteps the attack, and the woman trips over her own feet, falling. Diana: I win. Again. She turns around, face to face with Hippolyta.

Diana: Oh, hello mother. Hippolyta: Women, trainings over. Get to the arena. Diana, go home. The women get up, and dust themselves off. They run from the training grounds. Diana: And why would they be going to the arena? Hippolyta: It is none of your concern. Now go home. Diana: What is to happen at the arena? Hippolyta: Diana, I wish to protect you. I cannot do this if you choose to go to the arena. Diana: Wait... are you choosing a new ambassador? Hippolyta: Diana, I dont want you to be hurt. Diana: Mother, I handle myself well. Hippolyta: In training. Have you ever been in a real fight? Diana: No, but if you let me experience it- Hippolyta: No. Now go home. Diana: I am an adult. Why do you treat me like a child? Hippolyta stared at Diana. Diana stared back, and walked past her. CUT TO: Colosseum-like structure. Women line up to enter, wielding swords, hatchets, and maces. They all wear armor, except for one. She wears a hooded cloak, and holds a mere dagger. A horn is blown, and the women enter the arena. CUT TO: Hippolyta stands in front of a large throne. Hippolyta: Amazons! Today, a new ambassador shall be chosen! You shall fight for the title, the last woman standing taking it! When even a single drop of blood spills, you are out of the competition! Begin! CUT TO: Amazons slash at each other.

Many fall to the ground, either out of injury, or blood spilling. As more Amazons fight in the background, one with auburn hair stands out. She takes out two Amazons, blocks an attack, and takes out another. CUT TO: The hooded woman stands over a barely breathing Amazon. She crouches, taking her sword. CUT TO: The auburn haired Amazon, Artemis, has taken out three others. She ducks under an attack, pulls out a dagger, and slices an Amazon in the leg. She rolls, dodging an attack, slashes the Amazon with her sword, and throws the dagger, which lands in one womans leg. CUT TO: The hooded woman looks at two Amazons, who are charging at her. She cuts them down, approaching the auburn haired one. CUT TO: Artemis slashes one Amazon, and eyes the woman in the hood. They are the only ones left. Artemis charges at the hooded woman, raising her sword. She charges swinging at the Amazon. She dodges the attack, and the sound of steel on steel ensues. The hooded woman blocks Artemis sword with her own. Pulling out her dagger, she stabs Artemis, causing her to fall to her knees. Blood drips out of the wound. The hooded woman has won. She rips off the hood. CUT TO: Hippolyta practically jumps out of her chair. Her eyes are full of fear, shock, and anger. Hippolyta, under her breath: Diana. CUT TO: Diana raises her arms in victory. A crowd of women cheer. They are the people of the islands. Women who do not train. Diana cheers along with them, when Hippolyta grabs her shoulders. Diana turns around, facing her mother. Hippolyta: How dare you. I told you to stay away! I didnt want you to be hurt!

Diana: I wont be. Hippolyta: No. No, you will be. You arent doing this. Diana: I won. Hippolyta: You dont understand. This... this isnt just about a new ambassador. This is so much more than that. You cant do it. I wont let you. Diana, this is about- BOOM! A huge explosion is seen. Diana starts running. CUT TO: A blonde haired man falls onto the island. He rips off his parachute, looking at Themyscaria. He bends down, grabbing his knees. Looking up, he sees Diana. Almost instantly, he whips out a gun, aiming at her. Who the hell are you? Diana: What... are you? I said: Who are you? Diana: So did I. Steve Trevor. Now tell me who the hell you are. Diana: My name is Diana. As she said this, Trevor looked past her. Hippolyta, along with three other Amazons, ran towards them. Hippolyta: Women, take the man to your quarters. Give him a free room. Diana, go with them. Now. Diana stared at her mother, and walked away. CUT TO: Steve walks into a large room. Its as if hes stepped into Ancient Greece. Steve smiles as the Amazons leave him. He pulls out his phone, dialing a number. To his relief, it has reception. Steve: James, I think I have some info for you. Youre gonna love this. James, I found the island. Yes, in the Aegean Sea. Jesus man, its insane. Like Ancient Greece, completely populated by women. One of them

didnt even know what I was. Mmm hmm. Ill send you the coordinates as soon as possible. Who was that? Steve ended the call, stuffing the phone in his pocket. Diana was standing in front of him, wearing a green dress. Steve: Old friend. What are you doing here? Diana: I want- no. You came from Mans World, did you not? Steve: If thats what you call Seattle, than yeah. Diana: No, not... Seattle. Everything beyond this island. Steve: I did. Why do you care? Diana: Because I need to go there. Steve: You want to leave? Look, I might not get back there. Diana: Ill make sure we do. The boat leaves by the end of the week. Steve: A week? Why? Diana: So I can make a plan. CUT TO: Seven Days Later Diana stands in the training area. She is wearing leather armor, and wields a sword. Steve watches her. Diana sees him. Diana: Are you ready? Steve: Were leaving tonight, fine. But what exactly, to you plan to do there? Diana: There was a competition to decide the next ambassador from the island. I won. Steve: So you get to go? Diana: No. My mother denied it. Steve: So this is to spite her? You do realize that youre an adult? Diana: My mother doesnt.

Steve: You... you are a child, Diana. CUT TO: Hippolyta walks into a cave. Water drips from the ceiling, echoing through the cave. Hippolyta continues to walk through. We see a faint red glow at the end of the cave. It grows bigger and bigger. Hippolyta walks into the light, and it stops. A brute of a man, wearing drak bue armor stands there. Spikes emerge from the armor, and the helmet is in the style of Roman warriors. Red eyes burn with anger. Ares, God of War, looks down at Hippolyta. Ares: Hello. CUT TO: Hippolyta runs out of the cave. Blood runs out of her nose. A line of Amazons, armed with bows, take aim at the inside of the cave. Ares steps out, laughing. The arrows splinter on his armor. He walks forwards, punching one Amazon, knocking her out. He backhands another one, and grabs the neck of the last, crushing it. Ares: I havent done that in awhile. Hippolyta, why can we not speak? Hippolyta: You tried to destroy the world. Ares: I did. But now there are so many more forms of war. Hippolyta: Youre a monster. Ares: Youre absolutely right. Or would that be you? Hippolyta: What do you mean? Ares: News travels quickly, even in Tartarus. I know about what you did. Why Diana lives. Hippolyta: Leave her alone. Ares: Nothing can be guaranteed. The god laughed, and disappeared with a flash of light. Red light. A blast of light is sent upwards, and fills the sky. CUT TO: NEW YORK The sky turns red over the Statue of Liberty.

CUT TO: METROPOLIS The sky turns red over the Daily Planet. CUT TO: EGYPT The sky turns red over the pyramids. CUT TO: Diana sees the red sky, and looks at Steve. Steve: What does that mean? Diana: Now I understand. Steve: Diana, what is that? Diana: Have you studied the ancient Greeks? Steve: Yeah. Sixth grade. Is this something from mythology? Diana: Something from history. Ares, God of War. He was imprisoned ages ago. In Hades. But his time has ended. A red sky signifies his return. Steve: This is insane. Diana: Stay here. I must fight. She ran into a forest, leaving Steve at the training grounds. CUT TO: Hippolayta punches Ares in his side, then again. She lands another blow, and is hit. Hippolyta falls to the ground, her mouth bloody. She looks up at Ares, and wipes the blood away. Ares: I wanted war Hippolyta. It fuels me. It fuels the gods. Dammit, it fuels you! Dont tell me you didnt want the war to begin. I started the Persians on their path to glory! Hippolyta got up, charging at Ares. She hits him in the stomach, and grabs his arm. She twists it behind his back, and kicks him away from her. He turns around, and looks at the Amazon. A sword forms in his hand, appearing out of nowhere. Hippolyta grabs a sword from a fallen Amazon, and holds it with both hands. She swings at Ares, who easily dodges the blow. He swings at her, hitting her sword. They lock, neither giving in. Then, Hippolyta released, slamming the blade into Ares chest. The sword crashes against Ares armor, the

god not feeling anything. He back hands Hippolyta, sending her onto the ground. Dirt smears across the Amazons face. Hippolyta tightens her grip on the sword. She walks towards Ares, raising her sword. Bringing it down, Ares counters with his own blade. They crash together, coming apart. Ares slams his blade on Hippolytas. They clang, and bounce apart. Hippolyta puts her sword in front of her, waiting for Ares to strike. Yet he doesnt. Hippolyta swings her sword, which Ares grabs. The blade doesnt seem to affect him at all. He crushes the steel with his hand. Grabbing the sword out of Hippolytas hand, he hits her with the butt. Then, he throws it away. Ares grasps his own sword tighter. CUT TO: Diana runs through the forest. She can see Ares through the trees. She bursts out, clutching her sword. Diana swings at Ares, her sword slamming into Ares side. He turns around, moving his sword down. Diana put hers in front of her. They blades crash together. Ares pushes down on Dianas. She starts to crouch, weakening. Then a bullet bounces off of Ares. He releases Dianas sword, and looks at Steve, holding a gun. He shoots Ares again. The bullet crunches against the gods armor, becoming a small, flattened piece of lead. Two more shots are fired, with the same results. Ares starts walking towards Steve, who fires agin. On the last shot, he shoots at Ares head.It enters the pitch-black area where his head should be, causing Ares to scream in pain. He drops to his knees, blood pouring out of the helmet. Ares drops onto all fours, still screaming. He drops to the ground, blood spilling. He looks up at Trevor, and teleports away. Diana looks at the spot where Ares just was, before running to her mother. She crouched down. Hippolyta took short, quick breaths. She looked up at Diana, grabbing the womans arm. She squeezed tightly. Hippolyta: Diana... Im sorry. Find Ares. You are the new... ambassador. Then, she died. Diana dropped to her knees. Tears formed in her eyes. She checked for a pulse, but felt nothing. Diana couldnt accept it. Diana: No! No! Dont die! Tears fell down her cheeks. Diana buried her head into her hands. Steve watched, his head hung low. Diana wiped away tears, and stood up. Steve looked at her. Steve: So what do we do? Diana: We find Ares. She walked past Trevor, not looking back. CUT TO: Diana walks through an armory. Swords, bows, arrows, maces, axes, and more line the walls. Chests are on the floor. Diana walks past them. She is searching for one thing. She approaches the end of the hall, brightly lit, with a wooden wardrobe. Diana throws it open, and looks at the Wonder Woman attire. She smiles. A chest is next to the wardrobe, Diana crouches down, and opens it. A golden lasso, silver bracelets, and tiara were within.

CUT TO: Steve stands in front of a wooden ship at Theymescaras edge. Diana walks towards it, now wearing the Wonder Woman suit. Steve: Wow. Diana: Is that supposed to be good or bad? Steve: Both. A little. Diana: Lets go. Steve: Where are we sailing to? Diana: Athens. Ill begin my search there. You can go where you want. Steve: Hey, Im coming with you. Someone died. Besides, if I hadnt come, you would be dead right now. Diana: No. I wouldnt have. Steve: Ha. Well why not? Diana: I dont want anyone else's blood on my hands. Steve: Diana, there was nothing you could do. Diana: Just... Tears formed in her eyes. Diana: No. I cant. Steve, Im sorry. But... no. I want you to leave. I need you to leave. Steve: ... I get it. Ill go. Diana: Thank you. I... thank you. She walked onto the boat, Steve following. CUT TO: THE AEGEAN SEA Diana leans over the boat. Steve walks up to her.

Steve: So how much longer? Diana: Not much. Whats it like? Steve: Whats what like? Diana: Mans World. Steve: Well, compared to the island, its hell. Except for the cheeseburgers. Diana: The what? Steve: You have no idea what youre getting yourself into. Diana, people are going to be a little suspicious about a woman running around rooftops. My boss isnt going to be happy. She wants to take people like you in. Diana: What do you mean, like me? Steve: Like... superheroes. Diana: If there are more people like me, I think we can take out your boss. CUT TO: GREECE The ship docks, looking awkward amongst the modern ships. Diana: Well Steve, this is goodbye. Steve: Yeah. Thanks. Diana: No, thank you... I would be dead if you hadnt come. Diana stares at Steve, and hugs him. She backs away, smiling. Steve: Ill see you around. He got off the boat, Diana following. CUT TO: ATHENS Diana and Steve walk through the streets of Athens. Diana has put on some regular clothes. Steve: Hey, look at this.

He points to a newspaper stand. The headline reads: SKYS ABOVE AMERICA REMAIN RED Steve: Guess where were going. CUT TO: ABOVE THE ATLANTIC OCEAN Diana and Steve sit together on a plane. Diana: This is so... strange. Steve: Mm-hmm. Look, Im going to have to leave when we get to Gateway. Diana: Why? Steve: I have a... contact, there. I need to talk to him. Diana: About? Steve: Look, Diana, I said that I have a job. I work for the government. Theyve known about the island for a long time, but never found it. They need to know. Diana: What? No, you cant do that. Theymiscara is a place of peace. I have known of Mans World, and I know that it is a place of war and destruction. If they corrupt the island- Steve: This isnt about peace, this is about global security. Diana: Global security? From what? Steve: From the Amazons. From the gods, from whatever could have come out with Ares. Diana: The Amazons are people of peace. We fight what comes from the Underworld. Steve: I cant take that risk. Diana: There is no risk. The Amazons have prevented evil from escaping to Mans World since- Steve: Since three days ago. Diana: I am not going to let Ares win. Steve: And how are you going to find him? Diana: I will.

Steve: You didnt answer my question. Diana: What makes you think I intended to? The intercom comes on. Pilot: This is your pilot speaking. Well be landing soon. Enjoy your trip to Gateway City. CUT TO: GATEWAY AIRPORT Steve and Diana walk into the large room housing the boarding lanes. A blond man in a suit and tie looks at Steve. Steve looks back, and nods. Steve: Thats him. Ill see you later. Diana: Give my regards. She walked away, carrying her luggage. Steve walked towards the man. Steve: James Jessie, as I live and breath. James: I dont take kindly to flattery Steve. Steve: Well, considering Im just a lowly pilot, and youre second in command of this whole damn operation. Hell, youd be better than Waller! James: Shed have both our heads if she heard you say that. Steve: I guess you want the coordinates. James: You are completely right. CUT TO: GATEWAY CITY Diana, now in her Wonder Woman armor, stands on a roof in the city. She looks down at a theater. The sky is cloudy, hiding the small shades of red in the night sky. A blond man waits in line at the theater. Diana: Steve? She looks at the man, who notices her. Diana smiles, and the man runs into an ally. Diana drops down. Diana: Steve? Steve? Diana feels a sharp pain, and drops to her knees. Ares steps out of the shadows.

Ares: You thought he was still here? Emotions cloud your judgement. He kicks Dianas side, laughing. Ares: I wont stop here. This is just the beginning Diana. The gods are failing. We must have New Gods! He picks Diana up by her head, and slams her into a wall. Ares: Submit to me, and I will make your end quick. He slams her into the wall again, and then into the ground. Diana: I will never submit. She pushes herself up off the ground, and stares Ares down. He lifts his arm, blocking a punch. Diana kicks Ares in the stomach, and uppercuts him. Ares stumbles back, almost losing his footing. Diana runs at Ares, who right hooks her. Diana drops to the ground again, bleeding. She gets up, left hooks Ares, dodges an attack, and slams her fist into Ares helmet. He stumbles back, and backhands the Amazon. Ares: You dont know why you live, do you? Your mother was a whore! She sold herself out to Zeus, for coin! Do you hear me? Coin! All for the daughter she never had! Diana: Bastard! She right hooked Ares, slamming her foot on his. Dianas eyes burned with fury. She grabbed Ares shoulders, and headbutted him. Ares fell back, looking up at Diana. He started to laugh, and disappeared. CUT TO: WASHINGTON DC Steve and James walk into the huge building where Flash had been held captive. Amanda Waller is waiting for him. Waller: Steve Trevor. Ive heard a lot about you. Steve: Im not giving you the coordinates. Waller: What did you just say? James: Steve, we talked about this. Steve: There are bigger problems here. Waller: Trevor, this is a case of national security. Steve: This is a case of global destruction if we dont do anything!

James: Steve, I care about you. Just quit now, and- Waller: Jessie, thats enough. Go on. Steve: Greek gods, theyre real. And one, Ares, he wants to kill us all. The skies are red here because of him. Waller: Why should I believe this? Steve: We live in a world full of aliens and men who can run up to Mach 9. Is it really that crazy? That Night Steve and James walk through the base. James: Okay, how did you pull that off? Steve: As far as Im concerned, that never happened. I just wonder if I should have come. James: You had to. When are you going to give us the coordinates? Steve: Im not. Those people, Im not letting you ruin them. James: Steve, I dont want to have to do this. Steve: Do what? James: This. James punches Steve, as men in suits walk towards them. Steve: Bastard. Waller walks up to Jessie, and looks at Steve. Waller: Now then, youre going to give us those coordinates. CUT TO: GATEWAY CITY Diana looks into a museum. A large crowd has gathered. One woman stands at a podium. Hello everyone! I, as you may know, am Barbara Ann Minerva. Im here today to present a new advancement in the knowledge of the Ancient Greeks. You see...

Diana hears footsteps behind her. Diana: Deimos. Phobos. Its not a pleasure. Deimos walks forwards. He is tall and lanky, with greasy hair. Phobos stays behind, a brute of a man, with long, shaggy hair. Deimos: Diana, we heard about what you did to dear old Dad. Diana: Id better not find a dagger in my back. Deimos: Oh no, not to you. I just wanted to talk. Diana: Why do I doubt that? Deimos: The last time we talked, I said that I owed you. So Ill tell you where Ares is. Diana: I dont need your help. Deimos: It would be most unwise not to accept it. Diana: And I dont care. For this whole time, Diana had not looked at Deimos. Deimos: Look at me. Diana: Do not think that I am so easily fooled. Deimos grabs Dianas head, forcing her to look into his eyes. Diana stares in horror at the eyes, her worst fear going through her. Humanity was burning. A nuclear explosion destroys Gateway. Ares is in the center laughing. Not to himself, but at the gods. To Diana, for her failure. Deimos looks away from Diana. She comes back to reality, not completely realizing it. Deimos: This is what will happen if you dont accept my help. Diana: Fine. Just tell me where he is. Deimos: The last place youd look. The Underworld. WASHINGTON DC Steve sits in an interrogation room. Waller comes in. Waller: What do you want?

Steve: I shouldnt have come here. Waller looks at a man in a suit, and nods. The man comes into the room, holding an assault rifle. He walks towards Steve. He looks at the man, and grabs the gun, punching the guard. He pulls the gun from the man, and hits him with the butt. Getting up, Steve backs out of the room, and bolts.
