The Philippines revolt against Spain happened for many different reasons, such as religious differences and oppressive

rules imposed to Filipinos. Therefore the Filipinos sought the need for change, to revolt against the Spaniards Conquistadors. The main way of doing so is through war, an armed revolt. Filipinos would secretly gather armies and weapons in an attempt to revolt against the Spaniards. The Spaniards on the other hand would fight back and would ask for some of the locals to fight on their side, a reason why most of the revolts failed. Those who where caught and accused of being part of the revolt against Spain were punished. Punishments are mostly being brutally tortured, imprisoned or killed. The Spaniards would expose the executed bodies of the rebels to be a deterrent warning to the public to not cause a revolt against them.
