Mahdi and Smith (1994) worked with V-trough solar concentrator with a wick-type solar still.

They carried out outdoor testing with and without solar concentrator to investigate the enhancement of performance of the still by the solar concentrator. A V-trough solar concentrator (of apex angle 30 ) was combined with a flat wick-type solar still. This was attached to the outer surface of the glass cover of the flat still. However, the experimental setup is not given. Figures 3 and 4 show the variation of the ratio of the still productivity to the corresponding solar insolation when the concentrator was used and not used at various times of day in summer and winter, respectively. They presented the total and beam incident radiation. Efficiency of the still was found by them to be higher when the concentrator was used. The use of the concentrator appears to be more beneficial on winter clear days than on summer clear days.
