How does your media product represent particular social groups?

My magazine represents the scene kid or punk social group, but also crosses the rock and roll, heavy metal and sometimes emo social groups. Therefore my magazine is designed around another magazine which is also aimed at these social groups; Kerrang! Magazine. I have used bright bold colours, but mainly blacks and reds as these are mainly associated with these stereotypes. I have used a model with long, not-perfect dark dip-dyed hair showing a sense of individuality and a rebellious side to the usual perfectly styled hair. I have used dark make up and lipstick aswell as dark clothes a model with a nose piercing, as this is also the common, popular look of people within these social groups. As my magazine is aimed at both males and females I have not made my model look overly-girly and s dressed in trousers and a casual t-shirt creating a unisex style.
