The lecture discusses the benefits and the potential risk of Genetic Modified Foods a kind of food into

o which scientists have added a different gene of other plant or animal. In the first part, the lecturer gives us 3 main advantages of these biotech foods. Firstly, GM foods are not only cheaper for farmers but also better for environment due to the decrease in using pesticide. Secondly, GM foods help us to save time because they grow stronger and faster than the natural one. The last advantage mentioned is that they can be stored in a longer time in comparisons with the normal food; therefore, people can have more food instead of letting them be spoilt. However, therere still some disadvantages of Genetic Modified Foods which are discussed in the rest part. As a consequence of rapid and healthy development, this new kind of food starts to prevail over other foods and make them extinct. Moreover, GM foods may cause some harm to the environment by accident, especially to animal and good insects. Additionally, this food can partly affect on the humans health on account of some changes in gene, but we dont know. There are still some arguments about their risks but it is recommended that we pay more attention to the new kind of food.
