St Peters C of E School Policy Statement on Admission Arrangement

If you wish to apply for a place for your child at St Peters please fill in the Admission Form (S20) in this prospectus, together with the medical checklist and return it to us as early as possible, together with the other forms in this pack, once you have made a decision. This enables us to assess our availability of places. Although there is no longer an official catchment for any school and parents have a choice, priority must be given to admission in the following order: 1. children living in the schools designated area with a sibling who will be attending the school at the time of admission; 2. other children living in the schools designated area; 3. children living outside the designated area, but with a sibling who will be attending the school at the time of admission; and 4. other children living outside the designated area. This will be measured along the shortest available walking route. Our designated area covers children living in Budleigh Salterton, including South Farm, Kersbrook, Knowle, Ting Tong, Dalditch Lane and beyond to Woodbury Common. There are two points of entry at St Peters School. 1. Children who have their fifth birthday between 1st September and 31st March are usually admitted at the beginning of the autumn term. 2. Those whose birthdays fall between 1st April and 31st August are admitted at the beginning of the spring term.
