Grace of God Theological Seminary Theme: Predestination I

Text: (Romans 8: 29, 30) Predestination means to earmark, to decree, to point or to establish beforehand to a worldly or an eternal destiny; the prefix pre of predestination refers to time. The Webster dictionary says that it refers to beforehand. Destiny refers to the place where we are going, as we can see in the common use of the word destination. What predestination means in its more elemental form, is that our final destination, Heaven or Hell, is decided by God not only before we get there, but even before we born. 1. To be predestined to salvation doesnt depend on, but of Gods will. a) Ephesians 1: 5 He predestined us for adoption as sons unto Himself. b) Ephesians 1: 11 Having been predestined according to the purpose of Him. c) Romans 8: 29 For those whom He foreknew He also predestined. d) Romans 10: 20 I have been found by those who did not seek me. e) Acts 13: 48 And as many as were appointed to eternal life, believed. 2. And those whom God Predestined, He called a) Romans 8: 30 And those whom He predestined He also called. b) Ezekiel 34: 11-16 I, Myself, will search for my sheep. c) John 10: 16 I must bring them also, and they will listen to My voice. d) Luke 19: 10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost. e) II Timothy 1: 9 Who saved us and called us with a holy calling. 3. And those whom God called, He also justified a) Romans 3: 24 Being justified freely. b) Romans 5: 1 Being therefore justified by faith. c) Romans 5: 9 Being now justified by His blood. d) Titus 3: 7 Being justified by His grace. 4. And those whom God justified, He also glorified a) Philippians 3: 21 Who shall fashion anew the body of our humiliation. b) I Thessalonians 4: 16, 17 We shall together with them be caught up in the clouds. c) I Corinthians 15: 51-54 But we shall all be changed. d) Romans 8: 29, 30 And whom He justified, them He also glorified. Final Word: Predestination is an act of Gods love. The Lord created us, chose us, predestined us, called us, justified us and glorified us. The work is complete.
